History
The Tonkinese cat was originally the result of a Siamese to Burmese mating. They are two breeds from Southeast Asia in an attempt to create with a moderate body type, a less piercing voice than the Siamese but with the same nature as a Burmese.
Description
Tonkinese are a medium-sized cat, considered an intermediate type between the slender, long-bodied modern Siamese and British Burmese and the more “cobby”, or substantially-built American Burmese.
