Visitor Guidelines

• Permission FirstAlways ask the owner or handler before approaching or interacting with any cat.
• Respect SignageFollow any stand signs that say, “Permission and supervision required before approaching cats.”
• Hygiene MattersUse the hand sanitisers provided throughout the festival after patting cats to prevent the spread of germs.
• Resting CatsIf a cat is sleeping, behind a barrier, or in a crate, do not approach without the owner’s permission. Cats may be resting or unavailable for handling.
• Supervise ChildrenEnsure infants and children in your care do not approach or handle cats without your supervision and adherence to these rules.
• Stay InformedListen for public announcements about cat safety and welfare during the event.
• Report ConcernsIf you notice a stressed cat or have welfare concerns, visit the organisers office to alert our staff.

Cat Welfare at the Festival

• Beds for rest and quiet spaces away from crowds.
• Access to fresh water and litter box at all times.
• Behavioural and health assessments for every participating cat.
• Roving welfare staff, including onsite veterinarians, monitoring cat well-being.
