A visit to the first-ever Sydney Cat Lovers Festival, on Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 August 2023 at Sydney Showground, was the most joyful, thrilling, educational, inspiring and fun day out of the year. Details about the 2024 Cat Lovers Festival, on Saturday 24 August & Sunday 25 August, will be posted here, closer to the event. Here’s what we presented in 2023…
* More than 200 beautiful CATS of a multitude of breeds to meet over two days at Pat-A-Cat, the WHISKAS® Adoption Zone, the Trouble & Trix Breed Info Stage; the Trouble & Trix Breed Showcase. BTW, please don’t BYO cats!
* Unmissable SHOWS on the WHISKAS® Stage including: Jackson Galaxy – live via satellite, on the big screen; Hello Kitty Live; Dr Katrina Warren; CATMANTOO & Didga; the WHISKAS® Purr to Win competition; and a Kitty Cosplay fashion parade/contest on the pink catwalk! * Expert TIPS – for making your feline friend healthier and happier, on the WHISKAS® Stage from experts including Dr Katrina Warren; top breeders on the Trouble & Trix Breed Info Stage and in the Trouble & Trix Breed Showcase; and the Purrfect Match zone will help visitors find the most suitable cat breed for their lifestyle and home.
* SHOPPING & FOOD TRUCKS galore, with 100s of stands offering 1,000s of products & services, including exclusive festival specials and new products to spoil your kitty; lots of family-friendly food options all day long; a Paws & Prosecco Bar; and a fabulous Major Door Prize!
* KIDS’ ENTERTAINMENT from Hello Kitty and friends, with special Meet & Greets, too. There’ll be Free Feline Face Painting, and in the Hello Kitty Kids Zone there’ll be colouring-in, plus, and Hello Kitty merchandise, and a Neon Glitter Selfie Wall to make memories, take priceless mementoes, and share via our socials: Facebook and Instagram.

Please note: It’s a fact that most cats don’t like being in big noisy places for long. Those that do are a rare breed! That said, you will find a healthy cast of beautiful cats at the Show, just not hundreds and hundreds – unlike the 800-strong throng at our Dog Lovers Festival! We always put cat welfare first so your understanding here is much appreciated, as is your assistance in taking direction from the cat handlers at the Show.
