Car Parking at the VenueParking at the Melbourne Showgrounds will be limited on Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 October. To ensure that we have ample car spots available for our visitors, we kindly request that your staff take public transport to the Showgrounds whenever possible. A train will be running directly to Melbourne Showgrounds on both days. To assist us in planning exhibitor parking locations at the venue, could you please provide an estimate of how many car spots you will need each day for you and your staff? The cost of parking will be $25 per vehicle during Festival days and will be free of charge during Bump-In. Insurance Requirements Prior to taking part in the 2024 Melbourne Cat Lovers Festival being held at the Melbourne Showgrounds on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October 2024, every participating Exhibitor must provide a valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI) certificate of currency and (if applicable) a valid Workers Compensation Insurance Certificate. Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)Pet Projects International Pty Ltd and the Cat Lovers Festival recognizes its moral and legal responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees (including contractors and employees of contractors), exhibitors and visitors to site. This commitment extends to ensuring that operations do not place the local community at risk of injury, illness or property damage. Our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) objective is to actively work towards elimination of injuries and fatalities. Our target is to have zero injuries and incidents. Below is a checklist to review, if you answer ‘No’ to any of the below items, you must notify PPI (rebecca.t@petprojects.com.au) by Thursday 26th September 2024.CHECKLIST We are/I am compliant with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004 Victoria) and Regulations 2017 (Victoria) and any amendments and statutory reviews. We/I will provide copies of our OH&S Policies and Procedures within 7 days of a request to do so. All high-risk activities, as described by the relevant authority, will be undertaken by appropriately licensed/ticketed/competent personnel. We/I maintain an up-to-date licenses, training and competency register and this will be made available on request. We/I will provide a Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for any activities considered high risk that are being undertaken by either us or an appointed supplier. We/I confirm that our Safe Work Method Statements are undertaken in consultation with our workers and are project specific. Prior to construction/installation we/I will undertake a Hazard/Risk Assessment and maintain a Hazard Risk Assessment register If we are/I am involved with site/installation works we/I will participate in any site consultative arrangements. I am aware that the Site Risk Assessment is available on request and will also be available on-site and readily accessible to myself and/or my workers. I will ensure that my workers and I are able to fulfill any obligations contained within the Risk Management Plan. All Exhibitors bringing a cat on-site, must read and agree to the Animal Management Plan and Cat Handlers Responsibilities & Obligations to acknowledge that you understand the process of bringing a cat onsite. An identification tag will then be issued to each registered Cat. This identification tag is required to be affixed to your Cat's crate/collar throughout the duration of the event.
