Following the roaring success of the sold out 2022 Sydney Cat Lovers Festival, Australia’s most beloved event for cat enthusiasts makes its return to the Sydney Showground in 2024.
It runs on August 24 & 25 and will be heaven for cat lovers of all ages with an array of feline-inspired entertainment, education and inspiration. And more Pawsome news, the Sydney Dog Lovers Festival will be running next door on the same days!
What can you expect at the world’s greatest feline festival?
- Meet and mingle with 200+ exquisite, rare, and popular felines in the Pat-A-Cat zone and Breed Showcase, then expand your kitty-knowledge with information-packed talks on the Breed Info Stage.
- Leading cat associations and expert breeders will be on-paw throughout the event to answer all your questions about behaviour, training and feline health, as well as providing personality and medical about specific breeds
- Discover everything you need to know to be the ultimate cat parent with talks from some of the world’s finest feline experts on the WHISKAS® Stage including Australia’s leading ‘Science Guy’ Dr Karl Kruszelnicki
- Shop ‘till you drop in our massive expo that showcases litters of the latest and greatest cat products and services to spoil your kitty. There will be lots of new product launches you won’t find in supermarket pet aisles, festival specials to save you money, free samples and new cat start-up businesses. Products cover everything from beds to enclosures, litter to food, doors to accessories, cat-tech to scratching posts, and everything in between!
- The WHISKAS® Adoption Zone will provide all the information you need on providing a loving home to a cat in need with many leading rescue groups taking part. You can also meet cats ready for adoption now and kick-start the adoption process at the event.
- Dozens of fantastic tabbies will be competing in a real live Championship Cat Show at the event where you can cheer on your favourite breeds and see who wins Best in Show!
- Keep the kids entertained with free Feline Face Painting then capture your memorable day at our Neon Glitter Selfie Wall.

That said, you will find a healthy cast of beautiful cats at the Show, just not hundreds and hundreds – unlike the 800-strong throng at our Dog Lovers Festival! We always put cat welfare first so your understanding here is much appreciated, as is your assistance in taking direction from the cat handlers at the Show.
