We suggest visitors check Live Traffic NSW for road updates before setting out for the Festival. Plan your trip through Google directions. The Park is within postcode 2127. For more information call 02 9714 7888 or visit www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au
Please note, NSW Athletics are staging a Half Marathon from 6.30am on Sunday 25th August. We are expecting the event to be over by the time most visitors attend our Festival and they are expecting less than 800 athletes to participate so it should not impact access in the precinct. The marathon participants are being advised to park in P2 (Aquatic Centre) so the P1 car park where we recommend you park should not be affected. Please note there will be some minor road closures between 1am & 11am on the Sunday, but our event is still easily accessible via most other roads that are still open – please click here to view the map detailing these road closures map.
Car Parking
We strongly suggest pre-booking your parking. Sydney Olympic Park charges a flat fee of $35 for pre-booked parking. Click here to pre-book your car park. The pre-book parking system closes at 11.59pm the day before an event. You cannot pre-book same day parking.
If you don’t pre-book parking and you’re lucky enough to secure a car park at Sydney Olympic Park on the day of the Festival, you will be charged $6/hour. If you aren’t so lucky, Sydney Olympic Park recommends parking near one of the train stations or bus stops shown on the map and using public transport to enter Sydney Olympic Park.
Car parks P1, P5 and P6 are in close proximity to Sydney Showground with the P1 carpark the closest carpark to the Dome, just a short walk next door to Hall 3, where the Cat Lovers Festival will be held. Look at the map to see which car park is best for you. Check the walking distances to your event or the height clearances for the car parks. P2 and P4 car parks offer open-air parking for higher-than-average vehicles.
Free Shuttle from P1 carpark to Festival entrance
Two free Shuttles (trackless trains) will drive in a loop from the P1 carpark (the pick-up point will be in front of the ticket booth), via the Dog Lovers Festival entrance at the Dome, to the Cat Lovers Festival entrance on Riverina Ave at Hall 3, and back to P1. The Shuttles will operate every 15 minutes from 7.30am until 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Each Trackless Train can accommodate 30 passengers.
Free Bus from P5 carpark to the Dome
A free Bus will operate between the P5 car park (the pick-up point will be in front of the ticket booth) and the Dog Lovers Festival entrance at the Dome. You may use the Bus to take you to the Cat Lovers Festival however, you’ll need to get off at the Dome and take a short walk down Riverina Avenue to Hall 3 where the Cat Lovers Festival entrance is located. The Bus will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 7.30am until 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Each bus can accommodate 20 passengers.
Please note: Both of these free transport options may be popular for visitors who prefer not to walk to each event, so some delays may occur.
