PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS Prior to taking part in the 2024 Brisbane Cat Lovers Festival being held at the BCEC on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March 2024, every participating Exhibitor must provide a valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI) certificate of currency and (if applicable) a valid Workers Compensation Insurance Certificate. WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY (WHS)The Cat Lovers Festival recognises its moral and legal responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees (including contractors and employees of contractors), exhibitors and visitors on-site: This commitment extends to ensuring that operations do not place the local community at risk of injury, illness or property damage. Our Work Health and Safety (WHS) objective is to actively work towards elimination of all incidents, injuries and fatalities. All Exhibitors, contractors, on-site suppliers and any person directly appointed to work on-site must abide by the Animal Management Plan (AMP) the Hazard and Risk Assessment (RA) that applies to the show and the WHS) requirements specified under the relevant legislation. This includes any WHS requirements published by the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) and readily available on their website. This guidance in no way attempts to replace your overriding obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 and the relevant Codes of Practice published by WorkSafe Queensland.CHECKLIST We are/I am compliant with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (QLD) and Regulations 2011 (QLD), the relevant Codes of Practice published by WorkSafe Queensland and any amendments and statutory reviews. I am aware that the Site Risk Assessment is available on request and will also be available on-site and readily accessible to myself and/or my workers. All Exhibitors bringing a cat on-site, must read and agree to the below Animal Management Plan and Cat Handlers Responsibilities & Obligations to acknowledge that you understand the process of bringing a cat onsite. An identification tag will then be issued to each registered Cat. This identification tag is required to be affixed to your Cat's harness/lead/collar throughout the duration of the event.
